    Guwahati-based start-up to launch cab services in 98 cities

    What's the story

    A Guwahati-based start-up today announced to roll out on-demand cab services across 98 cities in India under the brand 'Wify Cab'.

    The company, Aspiring Ideas and Future Tech Solutions, will also introduce app-based ambulance services.

    "We're doing our market surveys now. We've already taken onboard 2,000 cabs. The first service will be launched in Guwahati before Durga Puja," CEO Mridul Das said.

    Wify Cabs won't have peak time pricing, night charges: CEO

    The company is planning to introduce its services across all the smart cities, excluding Goa and Port Blair, Das said.

    Highlighting its benefits over other cab services, Das informed that Wify Cabs will have only one rate of Rs. 5/km and won't have any peak time pricing or night charges.

    The start-up firm has raised a seed capital of Rs. 1.2cr, Das said.

    Start-up to tie up with hospitals to offer ambulance services

    CEO Mridul Das said they will tie up with different hospitals and private owners for their ambulance services that will be offered through Wify Cabs app. "We also plan to invest 8% of our profit into CSR, much higher than the mandated 2%," Das added.
