Airtel is offering 1TB free data to broadband customers
What's the story
Taking on Reliance Jio, BSNL and other broadband services, Airtel has updated its broadband plans to offer bonus data in select regions. In addition to the allotted data on FUP-based plans, the telco is providing upto 1TB (1,000GB) free data for six months. Previously, this offer was valid till March 2019, but Airtel has reportedly revised this offer for an indefinite period. Here's more.

The offer is available to new and existing V-Fiber customers
Airtel is offering upto 1,000GB of free data to new and existing V-Fiber broadband users. So, if you live in a region where V-Fiber is available, you can subscribe to an eligible FUP-based plan to get the additional data being offered by the company. However, this bonus offer is not available in some cities such as Hyderabad where Airtel has removed the FUP limits.

Notably, the eligible plan varies from region to region
As Airtel's plans vary by region, the bonus data offered by the company is also different for different circles. In Lucknow, the minimum monthly plan that one needs to avail the offer is Rs. 699. These are the benefits on offer in Delhi region
In Delhi region, the Rs. 799 plan offers a bonus data of 500GB alongside the regular monthly data of 105GB. Then you have Rs. 999, Rs. 1,299, and Rs. 1,999 plans that come with 1,000GB of bonus data along with data rollover benefits and a free subscription to Netflix as well as Amazon Prime. The benefits will differ from region to region.
Process
How to avail the offer?
If you are a new Airtel customer, you can check the available plans for your region and choose a plan with bonus data. Then, simply provide your details and complete the registration process for a new connection. In case you are an existing V-Fiber customer, you can upgrade to an eligible plan via the MyAirtel app available on Android and iOS or Airtel's website.
Discounts
Airtel is also offering discounts on long-term broadband plans
Separately, Airtel has also announced discounts on its annual and half-yearly broadband plans. So, if you opt for a broadband plan subscription of 6 months, Airtel will offer a discount of upto 15%. Likewise, for an annual subscription, you will get upto 20% off on your bill. Please note that you will have to make an advance payment to avail the discount.
