This year, 11 Indian women, including four newcomers, were added to the global rich list. According to the report, Francoise Bettencourt Meyers, the granddaughter of L'Oréal's founder, is the wealthiest woman in the world in 2022, with a net wealth of $74.8 billion.

Meyers is succeeded by Alice Walton ($65.3 billion) on the list, the daughter of Walmart founder Sam Walton, who is followed by Julia Koch ($60 billion) of the Koch industries, and MacKenzie Scott ($43.5 billion). Scott recently donated $12.5 billion to nearly 1,250 organizations.
