You can bargain during Flipkart's Big Billion Sale: See how
Indians love to bargain and Flipkart knows it. Hence, it has partnered with Google to let us negotiate prices, rather smartly, during its upcoming Big Billion Days Sale. Under a program called 'Big Billion Days Ka Boss', the e-commerce giant would let users haggle over certain products by speaking directly to Google Assistant. Here's what you should know about it.
Haggle over new products launched during sale
During the sale from October 10 to 15, Flipkart will launch 10 new products for haggling - two on each day. There will be a dedicated Flipkart Hagglebot in the Assistant, which, when activated, will let users speak and negotiate the price of those products. The bot comes from a partnership between Flipkart and Google Zoo, a creative think tank for agencies and brands.
Negotiating the best deal will get you free product
While conversing with the hagglebot, participants will have to answer some questions or riddles. Each correct answer will secure a lower price quote, and by the end of the day, the person with the best deal would be titled as the 'Boss'. He/She will get that product for free, while others will get a chance to buy that product at the final negotiated value.
Realistic bargaining experience promised
Thanks to Assistant's Machine Learning and Natural Language Processing expertise, Google promises a pretty natural shopping and bargaining experience. In fact, Gene Brutty, Creative Director at Zoo, says the voice-based engagement with the bot would make people think as if they're really in a local market. It would respond immediately across a range of devices participating in the program.

Is the hagglebot program open to all?
Yes, anyone with a device (Android, iOS, Google Home) having Google Assistant can use Flipkart's hagglebot to speak and secure a deal. The program is open to all and you can even haggle over multiple products using the tool. Notably, Flipkart has also said that some limited-edition deals will also be sold exclusively via Hagglebot.
