Ducati Multistrada 1260 Enduro launched, starts at Rs. 20 lakh
Italian superbike maker Ducati has launched the off-road Multistrada 1260 Enduro in India at a starting price of Rs. 19.99 lakh. The all-new Enduro has received some cosmetic and mechanical upgrades in the form of electronic features, off-road friendly underpinnings, and an updated engine. The all-new Ducati sports a naked design with off-road oriented tires and spoked wheels. For lighting, it gets twin-LED headlamps along with the LED taillamps. The bike comes with a 5-inch digital instrument panel with smartphone connectivity and an optional multimedia system. Moreover, it is offered in two colors: Ducati Red and Sand.
Engine and performance
The Ducati Multistrada 1260 Enduro is powered by a 1,262cc liquid-cooled Ducati Testastretta DVT engine which churns out 158PS of power at 9,500rpm and 128Nm of peak torque at 7,500rpm. The engine is mated to a six-speed manual transmission along with Ducati's bi-directional quick shifter for easy gear shifting. Moreover, it offers four riding modes: Urban, Sport, Touring and Enduro.

On the safety front, the 2019 Enduro comes equipped with disc brakes on the front and rear wheels. The bike gets Bosch cornering ABS along with Ducati's traction control for better road handling. For suspension duties, it houses Ducati Skyhook Suspension (DSS) package which comprises fully adjustable upside-down forks on the front along with a monoshock unit on the rear.

As for the pocket pinch, the all-new Ducati Multistrada 1260 Enduro starts at Rs. 19.99 lakh for its Ducati Red variant, while the Sand color model is priced at Rs. 20.23 lakh (all prices, ex-showroom). At this price point, the bike will go up against rivals such as BMW R 1250 GS Adventure and Triumph Tiger 1200 XCx.
