Deloitte targets $5 billion revenue from India by 2030
Deloitte, a top global accounting firm, is aiming high with a new target: to quadruple its revenue from its Indian operations to $5 billion (around ₹40,000 crore) by 2030. Romal Shetty, the company's South Asia CEO, shared this ambitious goal. It's all part of Deloitte's bigger plan to establish itself as the "undisputed leader" in professional services.
Revenue growth and future targets
Deloitte India's revenue for the fiscal year 2023-24 (June 2023-May 2024) reached ₹10,000 crore, marking a significant 30% increase. Shetty proudly declared, "We are the fastest-growing professional services firm of the country." He further outlined Deloitte India's future revenue goals: "We want Deloitte India revenues to be ₹20,000 crore by 2027 and $5 billion by 2030."
Contribution to global and regional growth
Shetty pointed out that Deloitte India has played a huge role in the company's global and regional growth. It was responsible for 10% of the surge in global revenue and a whopping 70% of Asia Pacific's growth. For the financial year ending May 31, 2024, Deloitte's global revenue increased by 3.6%, hitting $67.2 billion (approximately ₹5 lakh crore).
Employee attrition rate and hiring spree
Shetty also pointed out how Deloitte India's employee attrition rate dropped from 29% to 13% in the fiscal year 2023-24. This rate is notably lower than the average 20% attrition rate among the 'Big Four' global accounting firms. Deloitte India managed to hire over 25,000 employees last year, bringing its total workforce to an impressive 1.2 lakh individuals.
