Samsung Galaxy S9 and S9 Plus went on a worldwide sale yesterday. Now, if you happen to be in India and also planning on buying either of the two smartphones, Airtel and Reliance Jio have some interesting offers for you. Both telcos are offering budget-friendly buying options along with a host of added benefits like free data and other services. Here are the details.
What is Airtel offering you?
You can buy Galaxy S9 and S9+ (64GB) at a down-payment of Rs. 9,900 and 256GB variant for a down-payment of Rs. 17,900, followed by 24 monthly installments of Rs. 2,499 and Rs. 2,799 respectively. Interestingly, the installments come with monthly postpaid plan with 80GB data, unlimited calling, one-year subscription of Amazon Prime, Airtel TV, Wynk Music and Airtel Secure.
Now, what is Reliance Jio's offer?
The S9+ model is available via Reliance Digital, Jio Stores and Jio.com along with a 70 percent buyback offer and a Rs. 6,000 cashback offer. For the buyback-offer, users need to have a Jio connection and should have done a minimum cumulative recharge of Rs. 2,500 within the first 12 months of purchase. The recharge can be done using any current Jio prepaid packs.
Jio has an "exclusive" Galaxy S9, S9+ offer also
In another "exclusive" offer, users are entitled to 1TB (1024 GB) of 4G data, unlimited voice calls and messages with a 1-year validity at Rs. 4,999 along with complimentary access to all the Jio apps and a Jio Prime membership. Reliance Digital customers can also opt for 12 month-EMI plans on purchase of the Galaxy S9+ 256GB via several finance partners.

For Galaxy S9 and S9+ smartphones, Samsung has partnered with Airtel and Reliance Jio to introduce "LTE Carrier Aggregation" wherein spectrum across different bands are merged to form one single pipe. This gives user access to higher bandwidths which provide for faster downloads and streaming.
