Budget 2025: FM announces internet connectivity for government schools, hospitals

As part of her Budget presentation, Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman announced that broadband connectivity would be expanded to include all government secondary schools and primary health centers in rural areas.
She announced five National Centres of Excellence for skilling to equip youth and promised global partnerships to position India as a key player in global manufacturing.
Medical colleges
10,000 more seats in medical colleges
Sitharaman said infrastructure will be expanded in IITs set up after 2015, allowing for 6,500 more students across five IITs.
Moreover, a Centre of Excellence for AI in Education will be established with an outlay of ₹500 crore, she added.
She also announced that 10,000 more seats would be added in medical colleges beginning next year.
