    What's the story

At a time when most of the leading telecom operators are making their plans and services more expensive, BSNL is continuing to remain a more competitive option for users.

In the latest, the state-run telco has increased the validity of its Rs. 999 prepaid plan to offer a total service period of 270 days. However, this benefit is available for a limited period only.

    Key details

What are the benefits of the Rs. 999 prepaid pack?

As part of the promotional update, the Rs. 999 plan comes with a total validity of 270 days as opposed to the previous benefit of 240 days. During this period, subscribers get a total of 250 minutes of voice calls to any network within India.

The pack also offers access to personalized ringback tones (PRBT) for 60 days, but there is no data benefit.

    Information

The extended validity offer is available until March 31

The extended validity offer on this Rs. 999 plan is valid until March 31 and you can avail it through any of the available modes of recharge. However, do note that this plan is available in Chennai and Tamil Nadu circles only.

    Updated benefits

Last month, BSNL revised the Rs. 1,188 prepaid plan

In January, BSNL had revised the Rs. 1,188 "Marutham" prepaid plan to lower the validity benefit from 365 days to 300 days.

For the uninitiated, this recharge pack provides 250 minutes of voice calls to any network within India, a total of 1,200 SMSes, as well as 5GB of high-speed data throughout the entire service period of 300 days.

    Information

The revised 'Marutham' pack is also available in select circles

Like the revised Rs. 999 pack, the downgraded Rs. 1,188 "Marutham" prepaid plan is currently available for new and existing BSNL customers in Chennai and Tamil Nadu circles only.
