BSNL's Rs. 1,098 prepaid plan now offers 75-days validity
BSNL has downgraded its Rs. 1,098 prepaid plan to offer lesser data and validity. The state-run telco has reduced the validity of this plan from 84 days down to 75 days. Moreover, the plan now comes with a total data benefit of 375GB as against the previous benefit of 'truly unlimited data.' Here are the finer details.
Here are the benefits of BSNL's Rs. 1,098 plan
The revised Rs. 1,098 prepaid plan now comes with unlimited voice calling (including Mumbai and Delhi circles), 100 daily SMSes, and 375GB of high-speed data for a validity of 75 days. Notably, BSNL is marketing it has an unlimited plan but after you've exhausted the data cap of 375GB, the speed will reduce to 40Kbps. Moreover, there is no daily limit on data usage.
In some circles, BSNL is still offering 84 days validity
The revised plan is currently live in select regions only. In some circles like Haryana, Bihar, and Karnataka, the Rs. 1,098 prepaid plan is still listed with 84 days validity and not the revised period of 75 days.
Recently, BSNL also updated its Rs. 1,699 prepaid plan
Recently, BSNL updated its Rs. 1,699 prepaid plan to offer an additional 90 days validity to all customers who subscribe to the plan between August 14 to September 13. Hence, the plan will now offer a total validity of 445 days. The telecom giant has also confirmed that this promotional offer will be applicable on all modes of recharge.
What are the benefits of the Rs. 1,699 plan?
The Rs. 1,699 plan offers unlimited voice calling (upto 250 minutes daily), 2GB high-speed data per day, 100 daily SMSes and free caller tune with unlimited song selection. As part of another offer, subscribers will also get extra 2.2GB data per day till September 29.
