BSNL rivals Jio, offers 2GB daily-data with its unlimited recharge-packs
In a bid to take on Reliance Jio's Double Dhamaka offer, state-run BSNL has revised its existing unlimited prepaid packs and vouchers to offer 2GB daily data. The upgrade, which comes as part of the 'Monsoon Offer', applies to six of its prepaid packs and vouchers starting at Rs. 186 and Rs. 187 respectively. Notably, these new benefits will be effective starting June 18.
These BSNL packs and vouchers will get the data benefit
BSNL's Monsoon Offer applies to prepaid packs of Rs. 186, Rs. 429, Rs. 485, Rs. 666, and Rs. 999 and special vouchers of Rs. 187, Rs. 333, Rs. 349, Rs. 444, and Rs. 448. Under the offer, the prepaid recharge packs now offer 2GB data per day for their respective validity periods while these promotional vouchers come with a validity of 60 days.
All unlimited combo recharges packs will also get unlimited calling
Over and above the new data benefits offered by BSNL, all its prepaid combo packs will get unlimited calls (local/STD), free roaming, and 100 SMSes per day.
But, BSNL packs are no competition to Jio's offerings
Under its Double Dhamaka offer, Jio'>Reliance Jio is offering minimum 3GB daily data (extra 1.5GB data over regular data). In other words, if you opt for a recharge pack of say Rs. 149, you will get 3GB (1.5GB+1.5GB) of daily data for 28 days. Additionally, Jio packs offer unlimited calls, free 100 SMSes per day, and a free subscription to Jio apps.
