BSNL offers 2GB free data on upgrading to 4G SIM
Upping the ante against private telcos like Reliance Jio and Bharti Airtel, BSNL has started testing its 4G services in various parts of the country. And now, encouraging its 2G/3G users to migrate to the company's 4G network, the state-run telco is offering free 2GB data to all users on upgrading to a 4G SIM. Here's more about this offer.
How to get BSNL 4G SIM and avail free data
BSNL is expanding its 4G services in several Indian states including Kerala, Karnataka, Tamil Nadu, Telangana, and Gujarat among others. As part of the SIM upgrade offer, BSNL is providing 2GB of extra data to all customers who purchase the 4G SIM card priced at Rs. 20. To avail this offer, simply visit a BSNL center with valid IDs and complete the formalities.
Meanwhile, here's a look at BSNL's new Rs. 399 plan
Countering Reliance Jio, BSNL has revised its Rs. 399 recharge plan to offer 3.21GB of daily data as against the previous 1GB benefit. Hence, with a total validity of 74 days, this recharge offers a total of 237.54GB data benefit. Additionally, the Rs. 399 recharge plan offers unlimited voice calling across all networks/regions and 100 daily SMSes.
Recently, BSNL also introduced a new Rs. 798 postpaid plan
Just a few days back, the state-owned telco announced a new Rs. 798 postpaid plan to offer more data than rival Airtel's Rs. 799 plan. While the Airtel plan offers a total of 100GB monthly data, BSNL's Rs. 798 plan provides 120GB of high-speed data along with unlimited local and STD calls, 100 daily SMSes and a free one-year Amazon Prime subscription.
BSNL has also announced a new prepaid annual recharge pack
BSNL has introduced a Rs. 1,312 recharge for users looking for a long-term plan with free calling benefits. The recharge comes with a validity of 365 days and offers 5GB data, unlimited voice calls, and 1,000 SMSes. However, if you're looking for more data, BSNL's annual recharge plan of Rs. 1,699 offers 1,536GB of data (4.21GB daily), 100 daily SMSes, and unlimited free calling.
