BSNL launches new prepaid recharge plans with 2GB/day data benefit
Rivaling Airtel and Reliance Jio, BSNL has introduced two new prepaid recharge plans and updated a couple of others to pass on more benefits to its subscribers. The state-run telco has launched the Rs. 97 and Rs. 365 plans that offer 2GB data per day; and has revised Rs. 1,999 and Rs. 399 plans to offer more data and validity. Here are more details.
Here's a look at the new Rs. 365 prepaid plan
The Rs. 365 prepaid plan offers 2GB of daily data, unlimited local, STD, and roaming calls across the country, as well as 100 SMSes per day. The plan also includes the benefit of Personalized Ring Back Tone (PRBT). The validity of this plan is 365 days, however, all the bundled benefits will only be valid for 60 days.
What do you get with the Rs. 97 plan?
In terms of benefits, the pocket-friendly Rs. 97 plan is similar to the Rs. 365 plan. It offers 2GB data per day, unlimited calling, and 100 daily SMSes. However, the plan has a validity of only 18 days.
BSNL has also updated its Rs. 399, Rs. 1,999 plans
BSNL has also revised its premium Rs. 1,999 plan to provide 3GB daily data (previously 2GB data/day), unlimited calling, 100 SMSes per day, along with SonyLIV content. The plan offers a validity of 365 days. Likewise, the Rs. 399 prepaid plan has also been upgraded with 1GB data benefit, 100 daily SMSes and 80 days validity. Earlier, the plan offered a 74-day validity period.
Last week, BSNL also launched a new Rs. 997 plan
On a related note, last week, the state-run telco had launched a new long-term Rs. 997 plan in India. This prepaid plan comes with benefits such as unlimited voice calls, 3GB data per day, and 100 daily SMSes for a validity period of 180 days.
