BSNL new prepaid plan offers unlimited calling, 1 year validity
Since Reliance Jio disrupted the telecom industry, the competition has grown manifolds. And this has made telcos update their plans to provide more data and added benefits. In the latest development, BSNL has introduced a new annual recharge pack of Rs. 1,312 to offer 5GB data and unlimited calling benefits to its prepaid users. However, this yearly plan has some restrictions as well.
Firstly, let's look at the benefits of the plan
The new recharge plan worth Rs. 1,312 comes as a budget-friendly option for users looking for a long-term recharge plan. It offers a total of 5GB data, unlimited voice calls, and 1,000 SMSes. However, while the data limit may not suit everyone's requirement, the bright side of the plan is that it comes with a validity of 365 days.

Notably, this plan is currently available only in Andhra Pradesh and Telangana circles. Further, the unlimited voice calls option is applicable across any network (except New Delhi Delhi and Mumbai). Also, several high-value full talk time top-ups will not be applicable to this plan.
BSNL's plan takes on Reliance Jio's annual recharge pack
Evidently, BSNL's plan takes on Jio's yearly recharge pack of Rs. 1,699. To recall, the Jio annual pack offers upto 547GB of data i.e. 1.5GB daily day, unlimited voice calls and 100 daily SMSes. Additionally, users also get a complimentary subscription to Jio apps such as JioCinema, JioTV, JioXpressNews, JioSaavn, and others.

If you're looking for more data, BSNL offers a couple of other annual recharge packs also. The Rs. 1,699 plan offers 1,536GB of data or roughly 4.21GB of daily data, 100 daily SMSes, and unlimited free calling. There's also a Rs. 2,099 recharge pack which comes with 2,266GB of yearly data i.e. 6.21GB of daily data, free calling and 100 SMSes per day.
