BMW X5 launched in India at Rs. 73 lakh
As part of the company's plan to launch a slew of new models in India, German luxury car maker BMW has launched its all-new BMW X5 in India. The all-new SUV is available in 3 variants- Sport, xLine, and M-Sport (petrol variant). In India, it starts at Rs. 72.9 lakh and goes upto Rs. 82.4 lakh. Both are ex-showroom prices. Let's have a look at BMW X5
Talking about the design, the 2019 BMW X5 features a sporty look and gets a redesigned front-bumper, along with a larger kidney grille and vents. For lighting, it houses newly designed X-shaped sleek LED headlamps, LED taillights with a 3D lighting signature, foglights, and LED daytime running lights. Moreover, the car offers 18-inch standard alloy wheels, with 21-inch units as optional.
What about its interiors
The BMW X5 features a digital instrument panel called BMW Live Cockpit Professional display. The multi-function steering wheel comes with power steering support, and paddle shifters. The cabin comes with leather upholstery, passenger screens, and multi-function seats. Among other features, the SUV offers dynamic ambient lighting, wireless charging, four-zone climate control, and a navigation system with voice control.
Under the hood
The BMW X5 is powered by a 3.0-liter diesel engine which is capable of producing 265bhp of power and 602Nm of peak torque. The car is mated to an 8-speed automatic gearbox and can accelerate up to 100kmph in just 6.5 seconds.
Finally, what is the pocket pinch
The base variant of the BMW X5 costs Rs. 72.9 lakh while the top model has been priced at Rs. 82.4 lakh in India. Though the company has released only diesel models for now, we expect the petrol variant to be released soon. Lastly, the car will lock horns with Range Rover Velar, Porsche Cayenne and the Audi Q7 in the country.
