BigBasket, a prominent online grocery delivery service, has been accused of delivering less than the ordered quantity. A customer named Bhavye Goel from Chandigarh claimed that he received only 844gm of onions instead of the full kilogram he had ordered. After raising a complaint about this discrepancy, Goel alleged that his account was blocked by BigBasket.
Goel's complaint gains traction on social media
Goel took to X to express his dissatisfaction with BigBasket's service. His post, detailing the incident, has garnered significant attention with over 6.5 lakh views. In his tweet, he criticized the company for overcharging customers by not delivering the correct quantity of goods ordered. He also pointed out that BigBasket was quick to charge extra when vegetables weighed slightly more than what was ordered.

In response to Goel's complaint, BigBasket issued a standard statement expressing regret for the inconvenience caused. The company assured that their team would reach out to him soon and assist in the best possible manner. However, Goel countered this claim by stating that neither the Grievance Officer nor CEO Team had responded to his email for three days, accusing them of "fake lip service."
