Apple sacks engineer after daughter's iPhone X video goes viral
Apple has allegedly sacked one its engineers for violating company rules. The engineer in question was sacked after his daughter uploaded a video of herself carrying the as yet unreleased iPhone X on YouTube. The video went viral shortly afterwards. Apple had reportedly requested the engineer to take the video down, but was "compelled" to sack him after it went viral.
Details of the viral video
Brooke Amelia Peterson, the engineer's daughter, shot a video of herself touring the Apple campus carrying a special employees-only iPhone X. The video featured close ups of the phone's home screen and cover sheet notifications screen, as well as several minutes of hands-on time with the device. A notes app with codenames of unreleased Apple products were also part of the video.
