Amazon boosts commission rates for content creators ahead of sale
Amazon has announced a significant increase in standard commission income rates for over 50,000 content creators. The revised structure will offer an income boost of up to two times across various product categories. This initiative is designed to empower creators to maximize their earnings during the peak shopping days, coinciding with the Amazon Great Indian Festival. The commission increase announced by Amazon extends to over 20 sub-categories including fashion, beauty, toys, home and kitchen, and books.
Target-linked incentives for creators
In addition to the commission hike, Amazon has introduced target-linked incentives. These offer up to 10-15% of revenue generated by creators. As part of the Amazon Live program, hundreds of creators will host over 1,500 livestreams across categories such as mobiles, home decor and appliances, fashion, and more during the sale event.
Enhanced support system to benefit creators, customers
Zahid Khan, Director of Shopping Initiatives for India and Emerging Markets at Amazon, commented on the new commission structure. He stated that this enhanced support system will benefit creators and also enhance the shopping experience for customers. The aim is to make it more engaging and rewarding during the Great Indian Festival sale event.
