Now pay 12% less for selling goods on Amazon India
Amazon India has announced a significant reduction in selling fees across various product categories on its platform. The fee cut, which ranges from 3% to 12%, will be effective from September 9. This strategic move is aimed at supporting small businesses and broadening their product offerings, in anticipation of the upcoming festive season in the country.
Fee reduction to boost growth, expand product range
The fee reduction is expected to stimulate growth and enable sellers to diversify their product range on Amazon India. The company stated that this change would particularly benefit sellers who offer products priced under ₹500. "With the changes, sellers on Amazon India will benefit from a drop in selling fees, ranging from 3-12% across various product categories," the company said.
Commitment to support businesses of all sizes
Amit Nanda, Director of Selling Partner Services at Amazon India, emphasized the company's commitment to supporting businesses of all sizes. He stated that the fee reduction is a direct response to feedback from sellers, especially small businesses. "At Amazon, we are invested in supporting businesses of all sizes, from small and medium businesses to emerging entrepreneurs to established brands," Nanda said.
Fee reduction is not a temporary measure
Amazon India clarified that the timing of the fee cuts coincides with the festive season but these changes are not meant to be temporary measures. The company aims to provide sellers with an opportunity to streamline their operations, in time for the Diwali shopping rush and beyond. "This will provide them with an opportunity to reinvest in their business for accelerated growth," Nanda added.
