But each type has its own limits and rules for ATM cash withdrawals and other transactions. Here's everything to know about SBI's ATM limits and rules for different ATM-cum-debit card options.
State Bank of India's domestic ATM transaction charges
SBI allows its ATM-cum-debit users to transact for free at the ATMs of State Bank Group. Debit cardholders can also transact at ATMs of other banks; however, they are entitled to up to only six free monthly transactions, including financial and non-financial transactions. Beyond the free transactions, however, customers are charged up to Rs. 20 per financial transaction and up to Rs. 8/non-financial transaction.
State Bank Classic Debit Card, Global International Debit Card
For State Bank Classic Debit Card, the maximum daily ATM withdrawal limit is Rs. 20,000; the Point of Sales (PoS)/e-Commerce limit is Rs. 50,000. SBI Global International Debit Card users can withdraw up to Rs. 40,000/day (foreign currency equivalent of Rs. 40,000 globally). While the daily PoS transaction limit is Rs. 75,000, the online transaction limit (select international websites) is Rs. 50,000/transaction per month.
SBI Silver International Debit Card, Gold International Debit Card
For SBI Silver International Debit Card, maximum ATM withdrawal limit is Rs. 40,000/day ($1,000 or equivalent at international ATMs); PoS/online transaction limit is Rs. 75,000 ($1,500 or equivalent). For SBI Gold International Debit Card, the maximum ATM withdrawal limit is Rs. 50,000/day (equivalent of Rs. 50,000 internationally); PoS limit is Rs. 2,00,000. For international transactions, e-Commerce limit is equivalent of Rs. 50,000 per month.
SBI Platinum International Debit Card
For SBI Platinum International Debit Card, the maximum ATM withdrawal limit is Rs. 1,00,000 per day (or an equivalent of this amount in foreign currency). The PoS transaction limit is Rs. 2,00,000 in international currency. As for online transactions, the limit is an equivalent to Rs. 50,000/month (on international websites).
