Airtel upgrades Rs. 1,699 plan to offer 1.4GB daily data
Rivaling Vodafone and Reliance Jio, Bharti Airtel has updated some of its 4G recharge packs to offer its subscribers unlimited calling and more data benefits. As part of the latest revision, the telco is now offering an additional daily data of 400MB on its annual prepaid plan of Rs. 1,699. But how does Airtel's updated annual pack fare against its rivals? Firstly, what's new in Airtel's Rs. 1,699 prepaid pack?
The Rs. 1,699 prepaid recharge plan now offers 1.4GB data per day (previously, 1GB daily data) along with unlimited voice calling and 100 daily SMSes for a total of 365 days. Moreover, the annual pack also comes bundled with benefits like complimentary access to Airtel TV Premium, free Wynk Music subscription, 1-year Norton Mobile Security, and upto Rs. 2,000 cashback on new 4G device.
Here's a look at Vodafone's unlimited annual prepaid pack
Like Airtel, Vodafone's unlimited annual prepaid pack is priced at Rs. 1,699 and it comes with a validity of 365 days. Under the plan, the telco offers 1GB of high-speed data per day along with unlimited calling benefits and 100 daily SMSes. Moreover, subscribers also get complimentary access to live TV, movies, and music available on the Vodafone Play App.
What do you get with Idea's annual pack?
Though Idea Cellular has several unlimited packs in its catalog, it misses out on an annual pack. However, the plan with the most validity is the Rs. 509 pack which offers 1.4GB daily data, unlimited calling benefit and 100 daily SMSes for a total of 90 days only. Notably, beyond the daily data volume of 1.4GB, data will be charged at 4p per 10kb.
Is Jio's annual pack better than others?
The only real rival to Airtel's annual pack is Reliance Jio's Rs. 1,699 unlimited prepaid pack. Under this plan, the telco is offering 1.5GB of daily data (post FUP limit, unlimited data at 64Kbps), free national and roaming calling, and 100 daily SMSes for a total validity of 365 days. Moreover, you also get a complimentary subscription to all the Jio apps.
