Airtel now offers 2GB daily data on Rs. 149 recharge
Reliance Jio disrupted the telecom industry when it entered the market with its value-for-money schemes and has furthered the bar with its new tariff plans. But now, upping the ante is industry leader Airtel which has once again refreshed its Rs. 149 recharge pack to offer 2GB of 3G/4G daily data - the highest any telco is currently offering at this price. Here's more.
What's new in Airtel's refreshed Rs. 149 recharge plan
The all-new Rs. 149 Airtel recharge plans now offers subscribers a daily limit of 2GB of 3G/4G data with a validity of 28 days, along with unlimited voice calling and 100 SMSes per day. However, this Airtel recharge is currently not available for all users, according to reports. To recall, Airtel had revised this plan last month to offer 1GB of daily 3G/4G data.
What is Jio offering in its Rs. 149 plan
For Rs. 149, Jio is offering 1.5GB of 4G daily data and the plan is valid for 28 days. If you exhaust the daily data limit, you will still have access to the internet but at a low-speed of 64Kbps. Under this pack, you also get unlimited local, STD and roaming calls, 100 SMSes per day and a free subscription to Jio apps.
Meanwhile,Airtel has also revised its Rs. 399 prepaid pack
Earlier, Bharti Airtel had refreshed its Rs. 399 prepaid pack as well. Under this pack, you now get 2.4GB (compared to 1.4GB previously) 3G/4G data per day, unlimited calling, 100 SMSes and a validity of 84 days. In comparison, Jio's Rs. 399 prepaid pack offers 1.5GB 4G daily data with a validity of 84 days and free subscription of Jio apps.
