Airtel's 'Project Next' gets Rs. 2,000cr investment to retain customers
In a bid to stay ahead of its competitors, Telecom major Bharti Airtel has now launched 'Project Next' and will invest Rs. 2,000 crore in it over three years to redesign customer experience across all its services. Under 'Project Next', Airtel will revamp its stores, introduce handset protection schemes and allow postpaid users to carry forward their unused mobile data. Here's all about it.
Making the customer experience better
Gopal Vittal, MD and CEO (India and South Asia), Bharti Airtel, said this is aimed at bringing digital innovations to enrich customer experience and to make the process more simple and interactive in nature. Airtel will now allow postpaid customers to take unused data of a particular month to the next. One will be able to carry forward up to 200GB of mobile data.
Addressing customer concerns
Vittal said that customers are now looking at a relationship with the service provider for all their connections and there have been concerns raised by customers about prepaid to postpaid migration. 'Project Next' would solve all these hiccups along with addressing data concerns, device security and data privacy issues. Airtel is leaving no stones unturned to retain its customers amid the current market upheaval.
What's in the offing?
Airtel postpaid subscribers will be allowed to create customized solutions for their entire family by adding multiple postpaid connections to one account. The firm says, by doing so, users will be able to save as much as 20% of their current billing amount. The telecom major also launched 'Airtel Secure' i.e. an online smartphone protection suite aimed at safeguarding customers' devices against accidental/liquid damage.
Airtel Secure for complete protection
Airtel Secure has Norton Mobile Security Suite and an App Advisor to protect the device against traditional security threats, malwares. Under this service, if a device gets damaged, the firm will arrange a pick-up, get it fixed from an authorized center and deliver it back to the customer. Damage protection will be given for smartphones that are up to two years old.
