Airtel launches first broadband plan with 300Mbps speed
Airtel has launched its first ever home broadband plan with a data speed of 300Mbps. For a monthly rental of Rs. 2,199, the plan offers 1,200GB of ultra-high-speed data and unlimited STD/local calling on Airtel landline. The plan can be availed by users subscribed to Airtel's FTTH (Fiber-To-The-Home) service, which has so far offered a maximum data speed of 100Mbps.
Get free subscription to Wynk Music, Amazon Prime
Users subscribing to the new 300Mbps broadband plan will also get a free subscription to Wynk Music, Airtel TV, and Amazon Prime. The plan includes Airtel Surprise, myHome Rewards, and data rollover benefits with a maximum rollover limit of 1,000GB. Users can also avail a bonus data of 1TB until October 31 on purchasing the plan online.
The plan is live in select regions
The plan is live in select circles including Delhi, Mumbai, Bangalore, Chennai, Noida, Gurgaon, and Hyderabad. Users can confirm its availability in their region by visiting Airtel's broadband website. Users will also have to ensure their locality supports Airtel's FTTH service for availing the plan.
Airtel's V-Fiber broadband model connects 10 devices with one modem
This comes over a year after Airtel launched its V-Fiber home broadband model in India, under which users can connect up to 10 devices with a single Wi-Fi modem. Existing Airtel users who are not yet on the V-Fiber broadband model with 100Mbps data speed can upgrade to the same at no extra cost.
