These Airtel prepaid recharge plans offer free life insurance cover
Facing stiff competition from Reliance Jio, Airtel has upgraded its prepaid plans to offer more benefits such as truly unlimited calling, more bundled data, and access to a host of content and services. Interestingly, with a couple of new packs, the telco has also started providing free life insurance cover of up to Rs. 4 lakh to its subscribers. Here are the finer details.
Rs. 279 plan offers an insurance of Rs. 4 lakh
The Rs. 279 plan offers a complimentary term life insurance worth Rs. Rs 4 Lakh from HDFC Life to all the subscribers. As for other benefits, the pack provides unlimited calls to any number within India, 1.5GB of high-speed data per day, and 100 daily SMSes. As for validity, it has a service period of 28 days.
Users also get free access to Xstream App Premium
With the Rs. 279 recharge pack, subscribers also get a free premium membership of Xstream App which offers content from Zee5, HOOQ, 370+ Live TV Channels, and over 10,000 movies. Users also get free Hellotunes, Wynk Music subscription, a free 4-week course on Shaw Academy, anti-virus for your phone, and Rs. 150 cashback on FASTag.
Rs. 179 plan provides free insurance worth Rs. 2 lakh
If you're looking for a more affordable plan, Airtel's Rs. 179 pack offers a free life insurance cover of Rs. 2 lakh to all customers aged between 18-54 years. Moreover, no medical test or paperwork is required to activate the benefit. As for other benefits, subscribers get unlimited free calling, 2GB of total data, and 300 SMSes for a validity period of 28 days.
