Airtel launches Rs. 129 plan bundled with free Hello Tunes
Airtel now seems to be targeting subscribers who like to set caller tunes. To that end, the telecom giant has launched a Rs. 129 recharge plan that offers unlimited voice calls, 1GB of 4G data, 100 SMSes per day, and a free Airtel Hello Tunes subscription for a validity of 28 days. Here are the details.
The Rs. 129 plan is available in select circles only
The plan is currently available in select circles only. You can check if you are eligible for the Rs. 129 prepaid data pack on the My Airtel app or the company's official website. Notably, users who cannot avail the plan with free caller tunes can still get a regular recharge of Rs. 129 with free voice calling for 220 local and STD minutes.
Airtel shifts focus from data tariff to Hello Tunes segment
Last week, Airtel had launched another recharge pack with free caller tunes for Rs. 219. It also offers data and voice calling benefits like 1.4GB of data per day or 39.4GB of data for 28 days, unlimited calling (local and STD), free roaming, 100 SMSes per day, and access to the Airtel TV app.
Reliance Jio's rival recharge plan is worth Rs. 98
In comparison, Reliance Jio offers a Rs. 98 recharge plan which comes closest to Airtel's Rs. 129 pack. It includes 2GB of data, free voice calling, 100 SMSes per day and a free subscription to Jio's proprietary apps for a validity of 28 days. Notably, Jio also offers free caller tunes with every recharge pack.
