Airtel broadband customers can now carry forward data upto 1,000GB
After postpaid users, Airtel has now brought its 'carry forward data' scheme to its broadband customers: you will now be able to take over any remaining data from this month to the next. Under its 'Data Rollover' facility, one broadband user can accumulate up to 1,000GB data. The balance can be tracked on the MyAirtel app. Airtel Home Broadband reportedly has over 2.1mn customers.
How does it work?
Let's assume you are an Airtel broadband customer and have subscribed to a 200GB monthly plan. If you end up using only 150GB, earlier, the remaining 50GB data would be cancelled automatically at the end of the month. But now this will get added to the next billing cycle. So for the next month, you will have a data limit of 250GB.
How can you get it?
Visit www.airtel.in/broadband to check out all details about the new scheme. You should know that the carry-forward facility isn't available on all plans; these will differ from circle to circle. A detailed list of eligible plans for different circles is available on the website.
Meanwhile, Vodafone RED customers finally get data rollover facility
Interestingly, Vodafone also launched the data rollover facility for its postpaid mobile customers yesterday. The offer is available only on three newly-launched RED plans (Traveller, International and Signature) that offer 'unprecedented telecom and value added benefits'. Each plan gets you free national roaming, free access to Vodafone PLAY, Magzter and Netflix (up to 12 months). Data rollover is limited to 200GB.
