Air India Express starts flights from Ghaziabad to Goa, Bengaluru

Air India Express has started its operations from Ghaziabad's Hindon Airport, becoming the first airline to operate from two airports in the National Capital Region (NCR).
The first flight departed for Goa, with nearly 70 passengers on board.
The airline is operating direct flights to Bengaluru, Chennai, Goa, Jammu, and Kolkata with 40 weekly flights.

The expansion of Air India Express's operations from Hindon Airport will improve connectivity and accessibility for travelers across the Delhi NCR region and beyond.
The airline wrote on X, "Now, seamlessly connecting from Hindon, Ghaziabad to Bengaluru, Chennai, Goa, Kolkata and Jammu."
This new development offers a convenient alternative for those traveling from Delhi-NCR as well as western Uttar Pradesh and southern Uttarakhand.

Flights to boost regional accessibility and economy
The launch of these flights will enhance accessibility and spur economic growth in the region.
Air India Express Managing Director Aloke Singh said, "Hindon serves a vast catchment area covering Eastern and Northern geography of the Delhi NCR, besides Ghaziabad and western parts of UP."
The Ministry of Civil Aviation also touted this move as an upgrade for travelers.
Expansion prospects
Future plans for Hindon Airport
Union Aviation Minister K Rammohan Naidu inaugurated flight operations from Hindon Airport and hoped it would expand further including international flights.
The airline will operate a thrice weekly Hindon-Mumbai flight from March 10.
Naidu said, "With the addition of Hindon to its growing network, Air India Express is not only strengthening connectivity but also offering greater flexibility across the NCR."
