    What about 4G upload speeds?

Coming to the 4G upload speeds section, Idea Cellular is at the top of the table, recording the highest average upload speed of 6.4Mbps in September.

Idea was closely followed by Vodafone, which registered 5.8Mbps upload speed. Meanwhile, Reliance Jio with an average upload speed of 4.3Mbps came third in the list, while Airtel with 4Mbps stood at the last position.

    How are speeds calculated?

The report released by TRAI is based on the data it collects through the MySpeed mobile application from users in real-time who have the app installed on their phones, after which it computes the speed.

MySpeed app was launched in 2016 to allow the telecom regulator to monitor as well as release network speed reports on a monthly basis.
