2019 Nissan Kicks launched, price starts at Rs. 9.55 lakh
What's the story
Japanese car maker Nissan has finally launched its much-awaited Kicks SUV in India at Rs. 9.55 lakh.
The all-new 2019 model, which was unveiled in October last year, can be booked for Rs. 25,000, with deliveries starting this month itself.
The sub-compact SUV sports a new design, dual-tone paint finish, revamped interiors and comes equipped with several smart technology features.

2019 Nissan Kicks: At a glance
Based on the company's M0 platform, the India-specific variant is bigger than the global variants with a wheelbase of 2,673mm and a ground clearance of over 200mm.
Up front, the subcompact SUV sports the signature V-motion grille, large projector headlights with boomerang-shaped DRLs, and extended claddings.
Further, the car gets sharp LED taillamps, curved tailgate, large bumper with diffuser and rides on 17-inch wheels.
Interiors
Inside the cabin
The India-variant of Nissan Kicks offers slightly tweaked interiors with a dual-tone black and brown leather interiors and a roomier cabin than its global counterpart.
The SUV gets a large touchscreen infotainment system with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto compatibility.
You also get a 360-degree camera setup, two airbags, cruise control, hill start assist, cornering lights, and a cool glove box among other features.
Engine and power
Under the hood
In India, Nissan Kicks is available with both petrol and diesel options.
The petrol model gets an HK4 1.5-liter engine which delivers 106PS and 142Nm of peak torque, while the diesel variant offers a K9K 1.5-liter mill that churns out 110PS and 240Nm of torque.
The petrol engine comes mated to a 5-speed manual transmission whereas the diesel model gets a 6-speed manual gearbox.

Availability and pricing details of 2019 Nissan Kicks
The India-specific Kicks is being locally manufactured at Renault and Nissan's jointly owned plant in Chennai.
The range starts at an introductory price of Rs. 9.55 lakh for the XL Petrol variant and goes upto Rs. 14.65 lakh for XV Premium+ Diesel model (ex-showroom prices).
Moreover, as mentioned before, the bookings for Nissan Kicks are already live and deliveries will commence in January itself.
