2019 Mercedes-Benz E-Class launched in India at Rs. 57.5 lakh
German carmaker Mercedes-Benz has launched its 2019 Mercedes-Benz E-Class long wheelbase (LWB) in India at a starting price of Rs. 57.5 lakh. The luxury sedan is offered in two different trims- Expression and Exclusive. Notably, both the variants are available with BS6-compliant diesel and petrol engine options. Here is our roundup.

Talking about looks, the new Mercedes-Benz E-Class has a sporty-looking exterior design with sharp-edged bumpers, alloy wheels, and an attractive paint job. For lighting, it has high-performance LED headlamps with daytime running lights and crystal looking LED tail lights. The sedan also comes with rain-sensing wipers and has a wheelbase of 2,939mm.
Inside the cabin
The five-seater Mercedes-Benz E-Class offers attractive interiors comprising Artico leather upholstery, a new widescreen cockpit and a multi-function steering wheel with power steering support. As far as electronic features are concerned, the sedan sports a 12.3-inch touch screen infotainment system along with Burmester surround sound system, Bluetooth, navigation, voice control, and wireless charging (available with Exclusive model).
2019 Mercedes-Benz E-Class: On the road
The 2019 Mercedes-Benz E-Class features ABS along with EBD and traction control for better grip on the road. It also offers a rear-view camera and a 360-degree camera to have a clear view while driving along with the brand's pre-safe system. Further, the sedan comes equipped with seven airbags, adaptive brake lights, and parking sensors.
Power and performance
The 2019 Mercedes-Benz E-Class is offered in two engine options, one with a 2.0-liter petrol engine and the other with the 2.0-liter diesel unit. The former is capable of producing 194bhp of power and 320Nm of peak torque, while the latter churns out 197bhp and 400Nm. Notably, both the engines are mated to a nine-speed automatic transmission.
