2018 Hyundai Santro spotted ahead of launch on October 9
What's the story
Hyundai's much-anticipated 2018 Santro has been spotted in pictures ahead of its official unveiling on October 9.
The all-new budget hatchback was seen sporting an updated design and a completely revamped cabin.
Notably, the bookings for the car will open on October 10, a day after the unveiling, and will be launched in India on October 23.

Up front, the new Santro sports a large edge-to-edge black frame that houses chrome-accented grille and tooth-shaped foglamps.
Further, there is a bold-looking front bumper, underbody cladding, large headlamps body-colored ORVMs with integrated turn indicators.
On the rear, there are new wraparound taillamps, a rear windshield wiper and washer, and a rear camera as well.
Notably, the tailgate is also quite wide and large.

Inside the cabin
The 2018 Santro is seen to have a premium cabin with dual-tone beige and black upholstery.
The dashboard gets a touchscreen infotainment system which is expected to support Apple CarPlay and Android Auto.
Further, there's also a compact, silver-accented gear lever with a set of buttons, vertically-positioned AC vents, dials for the climate control system and a charging port.
Engine and power
Under the hood
The upcoming Santro is expected to be powered by a revised version of the original's 1.1-liter Epsilon petrol engine tuned to generate 63bhp.
The engine will come mated to a 5-speed manual gearbox while automated manual transmission will also be offered.
The car will reportedly offer an improved fuel efficiency of 20.1kmpl.
Further, Hyundai is also likely to introduce an optional factory-fitted CNG kit.
