Bengaluru man lured job-seeking women as 'HR', sexually exploited them
This man spent months targeting vulnerable job-seeking women. Posing as HR, he would contact them, mostly flight-crew aspirants, and make them face 'video interviews.' He would ask them to pose in various sexual positions, which he recorded. Then he'd force them for sexual favors, including sex chats, and if someone refused, he'd threaten to upload her video. Dipuraj has now been arrested from Bengaluru.
'Recruitment' process: In 'video exam,' he asked them to pose
The accused Dipuraj had several aliases: Dr Harikrishnan, Dr Rajesh Panikar, Rakesh Sharma and Rakesh Nayar. His MO was similar. After searching portals, he'd contact female job aspirants. Posing as HR personnel, he'd tell them they have to appear for a five-round interview, including video-based physical examination. In that video test, they were asked to pose in different angles while he recorded them.
"Asked me to wear tight t-shirt to see 'nipple bulge'"
One victim was contacted by Dipuraj posing as a recruiter from Air France. In the interview, he asked her about sex scenes in French films and 'if I like them.' In another round, he posed as a doctor and asked her to show her belly. He also asked her to wear a tight t-shirt without a bra, so he can see her "nipple bulge."
'He asked intimate questions for survey on sexual behavioral patterns'
A Mangaluru college assistant professor, another victim, was contacted as he considered her someone "bold and ready to contribute to (his) survey" on 'sexual behavioral patterns of employees in educational institutions.' In this case, he posed as 'Rajesh Sharma, Head of Research in UGC.' As part of the 'survey,' he asked her and her colleagues very intimate questions, she recalled.
Cops yet to ascertain number of victims
Dipuraj, a manager in a 3-star hotel in Thiruvananthapuram, was arrested following a Bengaluru woman's complaint. He conned women of many other fields, cops said. "Prima facie, his motive seems to be voyeuristic pleasure. We are yet to ascertain how many girls he has conned and if there's any financial angle," said a police officer. He has been remanded to judicial custody.
