Parameshwara decided to do random checks following allegations
Parameshwara decided to conduct a surprise check on Bengaluru's Indira Canteens after he came across allegations that some of the outlets were distributing low-quality food. The State Congress President started the random checks at the BEL Road Indira Canteen where he had idlis with MLAs Munirathna Naidu, S T Somashekar, and Byrathi Basavaraj. When he reached Ganganagar, the vessels there were found empty.
No action initiated: Parameshwara's statement
"Canteen operators complained that they are getting only about 150 plates of breakfast as against the minimum supply of 300 plates. Despite bringing the problem to the notice of higher-ups, no action has been initiated. I have told commissioner (Manjunath Prasad) to resolve the problem."
