A visit to IKEA in Bengaluru turned horrific for a customer after a dead mouse fell on her table while she was having food at the store.
The visitor, Sanjana Shetty, later took to Twitter to share her ordeal.
However, the Swedish furniture retailer giant soon apologized to her with a tweet, promising to look into the matter.

Reportedly, Shetty was eating at the food court with her friends at the Nagasandra outlet in Bengaluru when she saw the rat falling onto her table.
She shared that the rat had a "horrific smell" and she almost felt like throwing up.
The woman also shared that while cleaners arrived at the scene, the area was not cordoned off.

On July 16th, Shetty posted the pictures of the dead mouse that she claimed fell on the IKEA food court table unexpectedly from the ceiling.
Captioning the picture, she wrote, "Wtf.. guess what fell on our food table at IKEA... I can't even. We were eating and this rat just dropped dead... Most bizarre moment ever!"
She also tagged IKEA in her tweet.

Shetty's tweet caught the attention of IKEA who apologized to her.
"Hej! We apologize for the unpleasant incident at IKEA Nagasandra. We're currently investigating the situation and ensuring to take all precautionary efforts," it tweeted.
The company further stated that food safety and hygiene is their top priority, and wants its customers to always have the best time at the shops.

"What the hell is this? Even if not food, in furniture having rats," commented a user.
