Gauri Lankesh Murder: Rs. 10L reward to anyone providing leads
What's the story
Karnataka Government is offering Rs. 10L reward for anyone who would provide clues in the murder of renowned journalist Gauri Lankesh.
Home Minister Ramalinga Reddy made the announcement a day after Bengaluru Police asked citizens to share any related information on a phone number and email-id.
CM Siddaramaiah asked a special investigative team to intensify the probe and quickly arrest the killers.

The SIT
Have given enough officials to the SIT: Ramalinga Reddy
On 6 September, Karnataka Government announced the formation of a 21-member SIT led by IGP (Intelligence) BK Singh to probe Lankesh's murder that has rocked India.
CM Siddaramaiah chaired a meeting today with the SIT to discuss the progress in the investigation related to the case.
It was attended by Ramalinga Reddy, SIT Head Singh, DGP RK Dutta, and Intelligence DG AM Prasad.

"Government's intention is to solve the case as quickly as possible, that's the reason we have given so many officials to this case. If more officials are required, we are ready to give. We will give Rs. 10 lakh reward to anybody who gives clues."
Killing
Gauri Lankesh shot dead at close range
Senior journalist and activist Gauri Lankesh was shot dead outside her house in Bengaluru on 5 September.
Preliminary reports say three unknown assailants on a motorbike emptied seven rounds at her while she was unlocking her main door.
She was known to be an anti-establishment voice with anti-right wing Hindutva views.
The motive behind the murder remains unknown so far.
