Now, fly from Bengaluru to Mysuru in just 55 mins
People traveling between Bengaluru and Mysuru will soon be able to their destination in just 55 minutes. Air India's subsidiary carrier, Alliance Air, will begin its operations between the two cities from June 7. Under the Regional Air Connectivity Scheme, Ude Desh Ka Aam Naagrik (UDAN), Alliance Air operates on domestic routes. During his first term, PM Narendra Modi launched UDAN in 2017.
Mysuru-Kodagu MP to flag off the service from Bengaluru
Pratap Simha, re-elected MP from Mysuru-Kodagu, made the announcement about the Bengaluru-Mysuru flight on Twitter. Simha will flag off the service from Kempegowda International Airport (KIA), Bengaluru. As per the schedule, Flight AI 9539 will take off from Bengaluru at 10:30 AM and will land in Mysuru at 11:25 AM. It will return from Mysuru at 12 noon to reach Bengaluru at 1 PM.

Will ply between the cities every day except Tuesdays, Wednesdays
The seating capacity of the plane, Alliance Air's ATR-72, is 70; it will ply between the two cities every day except Tuesdays and Wednesdays. As per the guidelines of UDAN, the ticket fare will depend on the dynamic pricing model and vary from Rs. 1,365 to Rs. 5,000. Also, the passengers will have to reach the airport an hour before the scheduled departure.
Earlier, the flight operated during Dasara festival in 2018
In order to control the rush of international travelers during the Dasara (Dussehra) festival in October 2018, Alliance Air operated between Bengaluru and Mysuru for 10 days. At the time, a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) was signed between the Karnataka State Tourism Development Corporation (KSTDC) and Alliance Air. However, at the time, the ticket fare started at a special price of Rs. 999.
Currently, fastest train takes 2hrs to reach Mysuru from Bengaluru
Currently, the fastest options available between Bengaluru and Mysuru are: Railways: The fastest train available is Chennai-Mysuru Shatabdi Express with a travel time of two hours and the fare ranges from Rs. 295 to Rs. 950. Roadways: It takes over four hours to cover the 150km distance due to traffic congestion; the fare ranges from Rs. 129 (regular bus) to Rs. 330 (luxury bus).
