Bengaluru: Jayant Sinha inaugurates Boeing India's new engineering centre
Expanding its operations, global aerospace major Boeing has opened an additional facility at Boeing India Engineering and Technology Center in Bengaluru. It was inaugurated by Union Minister of State for Civil Aviation Jayant Sinha. Supporting Boeing's products and systems, the new facility would enable the company to focus on state-of-the-art technology areas, including data analytics, internet-of-things, aerospace design, manufacturing, testing, and research. Boeing's collaboration with Aviation Ministry, AIESL for AME apprenticeship program
Boeing India's Bengaluru center having research laboratories to support next-generation aerospace innovations was opened in Jan'17. The US-based company's India subsidiary recently announced it was partnering with Union Aviation Ministry and Air India Engineering Services for developing the Aircraft Maintenance Engineers (AMEs) Accelerated Apprenticeship Program. The program aims to improve AMEs' employability through training and hands-on experience with aircraft.
