Bengaluru to get more rain in next 24 hours
March has been good for Bengalurueans, at least weather wise. While Delhi and Mumbai are reeling under humid summer, the Karnataka capital has been getting good shower since March 29 till Monday when it received 14 mm of rains. Even on Friday (March-30), there was a sudden blast of pre-monsoon showers and hailstones. The shower is likely to continue for the next 24 hours.
City people inconvenienced but happy due to weather
No rain, cloudy sky for next few days in city
The pre-monsoon shower is because of a low pressure covering Chhattisgarh to South Karnataka. This pressure will ebb away after 24 hours, so there will be a dry spell for the next couple of days, predicts Skymet Weather. During that time, the temperature may rise again, but the sky would remain partially cloudy. Post that, another spell of rains is expected around the weekend.
What are pre-monsoon showers?
Pre-monsoon showers show up around late afternoon or evening and so the day temperatures do not dip much. The maximum temperature does not get impacted much, but the minimums drop by a couple of degrees Celsius. Bengaluru too received showers around afternoon in spells.
