Bengaluru: Mayor promises bus passes, home loans for transgender community
After a meeting with the Bengaluru's transgender community, Mayor Sampath Raj promised them that the BBMP would meet all of their demands. He also assured that he would address a letter to housing minister and chief minister Siddaramaiah, requesting them to consider community's application to incorporate them in housing schemes. He added,"There are many people who are deprived of social opportunities."
BBMP allotted Rs. 2 crore for the transgender community
"The BBMP has allotted Rs .2 crore for the transgender community but it has not been spent yet. Thus the applications for the loans from the transgender community will be invited and the BBMP will soon approve the applications," said Mayor R Sampath Raj.
