Bengaluru-Chennaiyin ISL final match hysteria: 7K tickets sold in 3.5-hours
That the final match between Bengaluru FC and Chennaiyin FC of the Indian Super League (ISL) is mouth-watering was proven by the speed at which tickets were sold out. Football aficionados queued up yesterday outside the Sree Kanteerava Stadium, the match venue, hours before the counter was to open but the tickets got sold in just 3.5-hours. The final will be held on Saturday.

Show valid government ID to get tickets: ISL
Around 7,000 tickets priced between Rs. 100 and Rs. 700 were sold after the counter opened at 11 AM. Many returned home upset despite standing in the line since 8.30 AM that stretched from Gate G of Kanteerava stadium till Hudson Circle. The ISL had instructed on Wednesday a maximum of four tickets per person will be allowed, upon producing valid government ID.
10,000 tickets sold online; demand spiked after BFC won semis
The offline counter was opened due to the spike in demand that was noticed after Mumbai-based JSW Group's Bengaluru FC won the second-leg semis. Almost 10,000 tickets were sold online. "The online sales started much earlier because sometimes, we have to dispatch the tickets. Around 70% of the tickets were sold on the very night BFC qualified for the final," said an ISL official.
Bengaluru FC vs Chennaiyin FC: who is more interesting?
Bengaluru FC, who won the maiden I-league, defeated Pune City FC to reach finals. Interestingly, Indian cricketer M S Dhoni's Chennaiyin FC beat current skipper Virat Kohli's FC Goa to meet BFC on Saturday at Sree Kanteerava Stadium, which can accommodate up to 24,000 people.
