Bengaluru: Cab driver breaks customer's leg for puking in car
A man was allegedly assaulted by a cab driver in Bengaluru after he threw up in the car near Kogilu Cross on Ballari Road. The 27-year-old man, Sreejeeth, from Thrissur in Kerala came to the city looking for a job and was travelling to Hunasamaranahalli with a friend. Based on Sreejeeth's statement, the police has filed a case of assault. Here's more.
Sreejeeth felt sick and threw up in the car
Sreejeeth, along with his friend Nitin, was waiting in Hebbal for a vehicle to go to Hunasamaranahalli, when the private cab driver with a Toyota Etios offered to drop them. However, after some time, Sreejeeth felt sick and threw up in the car, even before he could ask the driver to stop the cab. Apparently, this incident enraged the cab driver.
Even after the mess was cleaned, the driver wasn't happy
After Sreejeeth promised to clean the mess, the driver stopped the vehicle at a petrol bunk. Sreejeeth got a bucketful of water and cleaned it. Adding that the driver wasn't happy even then, Sreejeeth said, "He began abusing me and later pulled out a tool from his car and hit me on my hip and below my right knee."
Sreejeeth underwent a surgery for leg fracture
After hitting Sreejeeth, the driver fled from the spot leaving them behind. After his friends were informed about the incident, they rushed to the spot and took him to a nearby hospital. "Sreejeeth's right leg was fractured and he underwent surgery at a Thrissur hospital on Monday," his friend said. A case under IPC Sections 323, 324 and 504 has now been registered.
