Yamaha MT-09 Cyber Rally, with sporty looks, revealed: Check features
Yamaha has unveiled the Cyber Rally variant of its MT-09 bike at the Osaka Motor Show in its home country. It is not clear if it would be mass produced. As for the highlights, the two-wheeler bears a head-turning look and sports a TFT instrument console as well as handguards with winglets. The vehicle has been built using Y'S Gear aftermarket parts.
Why does this story matter?
The Yamaha MT-09 Cyber Rally is a good-looking motorbike that draws inspiration from the brand's Street Rally model of 2014. So far, the company has not given any indication whether this two-wheeler would head to production. If this motorcycle makes its way to our shores, the competition in the market would be raised to a great extent.
The motorcycle sports a transparent headlamp cowl and upswept exhaust
The Yamaha MT-09 Cyber Rally has a muscular fuel tank with extensions, a single-piece seat, handguards with winglets made of carbon fiber, radiator covers bearing gills, and an upswept, aftermarket exhaust system. The motorbike packs a TFT instrument cluster, a sleek headlight with a transparent cowl, and rides on blacked-out wheels. It sports a dual-tone blue and black paint job.
The standard MT-09 runs on a 113hp, 847cc engine
The powertrain details of the Yamaha MT-09 Cyber Rally are currently unavailable. However, the standard MT-09 draws power from an 847cc, 3-cylinder, liquid-cooled engine that makes 113.4hp/87.5Nm and comes linked to a 6-speed gearbox.
There are disc brakes on both the ends
To ensure the safety of the rider, the Yamaha MT-09 Cyber Rally is equipped with disc brakes on both the front and rear wheels. For better handling, it should feature ABS. Suspension duties on the motorbike are taken care of by telescopic forks on the front side and a shock absorber on the rear end.
Yamaha MT-09 Cyber Rally: Availability
We are not sure if Yamaha MT-09 Cyber Rally would head to production or not. If it is not introduced in the market, its styling cues might make their way to another version of the MT-09 in the future.
