Yamaha Force X goes official with sporty looks: Check features
Japanese automaker Yamaha has introduced its Force X maxi-style scooter in the Chinese market. Its arrival in India seems unclear. As for the highlights, the two-wheeler bears a head-turning look and offers a digital instrument cluster as well as handlebar-mounted indicators. It draws power from a 125cc, air-cooled, Blue Core hybrid engine that generates a maximum power of 8.17hp.
Why does this story matter?
The Yamaha Force X is suitable for off-roading and takes on the Honda ADV 150 in the Chinese market. A lot of buyers should be interested in getting their hands on this two-wheeler. If the two-wheeler makes its way to our shores, it will probably be in limited numbers. The competition in the market will also be raised significantly.
The scooter has 10-inch wheels and a single-piece seat
The Yamaha Force X has a headlight-mounted front apron, a flat footboard, a stepped-up single-piece seat, a pillion grab rail, a side-mounted exhaust, handlebar-mounted indicators, and arrowhead-shaped mirrors. The scooter packs a halogen headlamp, a digital instrument console, and rides on blacked-out wheels shod in 10-inch tires. It is extremely lightweight and tips the scales at just 92kg.
It runs on an 8hp, 125cc engine
The Yamaha Force X is fueled by a 125cc, air-cooled, Blue Core hybrid engine. The mill generates a maximum power of 8.17hp at 6,500rpm and a peak torque of 9.7Nm at 5,000rpm.
It gets telescopic front forks
To ensure the safety of the rider, the Yamaha Force X should be equipped with a disc brake on the front wheel and a drum brake on the rear end. It is unclear whether it also gets ABS. Suspension duties on the maxi-style scooter are likely taken care of by telescopic forks on the front end and a shock absorber on the rear side.
Yamaha Force X: Pricing and availability
In the Chinese market, the Yamaha Force X maxi-style scooter carries a price tag of CNY 8,980 (around Rs. 1.07 lakh). However, no details regarding its availability in India have been disclosed.
