Xiaomi SU7 electric sedan hits 10,000 production milestone
Xiaomi is celebrating a significant production milestone with its first car, the all-electric SU7. Since its launch in December 2023, the company has successfully manufactured 10,000 units of this vehicle. The SU7 has also seen impressive demand with over 100,000 orders placed. Xiaomi began delivering the car shortly after its introduction and has delivered 5,781 vehicles by April 28.
Customer demographics and future predictions
Xiaomi CEO Lei Jun has revealed that 79% of SU7 owners are actively using 'Xiaomi Pilot,' the car's autonomous driving feature. He also highlighted that female customers accounted for 28% of orders for the SU7. Jun further predicted that women will constitute between 40-50% of the SU7's owner base in the future. This insight into customer demographics provides a glimpse into the broad appeal of Xiaomi's inaugural electric vehicle.

Xiaomi SU7: Here's how it performs
The SU7 is equipped with Xiaomi's 'Super Motor,' capable of reaching up to 21,000rpm. The base model delivers a power output of 295hp and 400Nm of torque, achieving speeds of up to 100km/h in 5.28 seconds. The dual-motor SU7 Max variant features the 'Super Motor V6S,' generating a peak output of 664hp and an impressive torque of 838Nm. It accelerates from 0-100km/h in 2.8 seconds.
Battery capacity and charging speed
The entry-level model of the SU7 comes with a battery pack of 73.6kWh, offering a range of up to 668km. The more robust SU7 Max is equipped with a larger 101kWh pack, extending the range to 800km. Xiaomi asserts that when connected to an ultra-fast charger, the SU7 Max can replenish 220km of range in just five minutes and 510km in merely 15 minutes.
