Long waiting period for Toyota cars in India this April
Toyota has disclosed the delivery timeline for its models in India this April. The company's sales have been strong, largely driven by the debut of new models such as the Urban Cruiser Hyryder and the Innova Hycross hybrid. Notably, despite being the most affordable offering, Toyota Glanza does not have long waiting periods like its more premium counterparts, except for its CNG variant, which has a waiting period of up to three months.
Waiting periods for premium cars revealed
Toyota Fortuner, a leading model in the full-size SUV category, currently has some variants with waiting periods of up to three months. The revamped Innova Crysta, which was introduced in early 2023, is experiencing waiting periods of up to twelve months. High demand for the Innova Hycross has led to a waiting of over a year, while the Urban Cruiser Hyryder has waiting periods of up to eight months for certain trims.
Demand for Toyota's popular models
Both Toyota Urban Cruiser Hyryder and Maruti Suzuki Grand Vitara are manufactured at TKM's production facility in Bidadi, Karnataka.
