Volvo XC40 Recharge: At a glance
The XC40 Recharge looks largely similar to the fuel-powered XC40. However, it gets minor design tweaks including a 'Recharge' badging on the tailgate and a closed fascia which replaces the blacked-out front grille. The charging port replaces the rear-mounted petrol cap while the 'Frunk' (bonnet) allows for additional storage space. It also offers a dual-tone paint scheme, an all-LED lighting setup, and alloy wheels.
Inside the cabin
Inside, the Volvo XC40 Recharge sports a five-seater cabin with leather upholstery, ventilated seats, and a leather-wrapped multifunctional steering wheel. The car sports a digital instrument cluster and a new touchscreen infotainment unit that comes with Android-based operating system. Further, it also offers connected car features through 'Volvo On Call' technology.
What about safety features?
The Volvo XC40 Recharge offers a bunch of safety features including Pilot Assist, Blind Spot Information System with Steer Assist which helps in changing lanes, and a theft-prevention key fob.
