
Volkswagen's most powerful SUV in India now up for booking
What's the story
Volkswagen has started taking orders for the much-awaited Tiguan R-Line in India.
The carmaker has opened bookings for the model on its website and at all dealerships nationwide.
Set to be launched on April 14, the car will cost around ₹50 lakh because it will be imported as a completely built-up unit.
It comes in six monotone colors: Persimmon Red Metallic, Nightshade Blue Metallic, Grenadilla Black Metallic, Cipressino Green Metallic, Oryx White Mother of Pearl Effect, and Oyster Silver Metallic.

The India-spec Volkswagen Tiguan R-Line packs a 2.0-liter, four-cylinder turbo-petrol engine that offers 204hp of power and 320Nm of peak torque.
This output makes it the most powerful car in the company's portfolio in India.
The power is sent to all four wheels via a seven-speed dual-clutch automatic gearbox, paired with VW's 4Motion AWD system.
The company says the vehicle can go from 0-100km/h in just 7.1 seconds and hit a top speed of up to 229km/h.

Inside, the Volkswagen Tiguan R-Line offers sports seats with an ambient lighting package.
It comes with a 10.3-inch digital instrument display and a massive 12.9-inch central touchscreen infotainment system running VW's latest MIB4 OS, with over-the-air update support.
Other highlights include steering-mounted controls, drive selector on center console, dual-zone climate control system with controls in infotainment touchscreen, and ADAS suite with adaptive cruise control as well as lane-keep assist.
