Volkswagen T-Roc SUV to be launched on March 18
Volkswagen T-Roc, the mid-sized SUV which was unveiled in India at the recently-concluded Auto Expo, is all set to hit the showrooms on March 18. It will be a petrol-only model and will be arriving in the country through CBU (completely built unit) route. Notably, the bookings for the car are already live via company's official website. Volkswagen T-Roc features an attractive compact design with a dual-tone color scheme, a chrome-finished grille, and sporty-looking diamond-cut alloy wheels. The car gets blacked-out wheel arches as well as side claddings, indicator-mounted ORVMs, and an angular rear profile with roof spoiler. For lighting, it offers all-LED headlights with DRLs, fog lamps, and LED taillamps.
Inside the cabin
Inside, the Volkswagen T-Roc offers a luxurious five-seater cabin featuring a panoramic sunroof, two-zone automatic climate control, and a flat-bottom multifunctional steering wheel. The car sports Vienna leather seats and houses an 8-inch touchscreen infotainment system with Android Auto and Apple CarPlay support. For safety, it gets six airbags, ABS with EBD, a rearview camera with parking sensors, and electronic stability control, among others.

Under the hood, the Volkswagen T-Roc will pack a BS6-compliant 1.5-liter four-cylinder petrol engine (TSI), that comes mated to an automatic gearbox. This unit is capable of producing 148bhp of maximum power and 240Nm of peak torque.

To note, the Volkswagen T-Roc will arrive in India via CBU (completely built unit) route and will be sold in limited numbers. As far as pricing is concerned, it is likely to cost around Rs. 20 lakh. Lastly, the compact SUV will go up against Jeep Compass, Hyundai Tucson, and Tata Harrier.
