Italian automaker Vespa has launched its all new scooter, the Vespa GTS 300 SuperTech, in Philippines. The flagship scooter comes with a powerful motor and offers smartphone connectivity as well as modern safety features. And with a price tag of approximately Rs. 5.6 lakh, it will cost you more than a well-equipped family car. Here's our roundup.
Vespa GTS 300 SuperTech: At a glance
The Vespa GTS 300 SuperTech comes with iconic Vespa design, featuring rounded headlamp as well as mirrors, chrome garnishing on the exhaust, chrome-finished grab rail, and blacked-out alloy wheels. The scooter also gets a 4.3-inch fully-digital instrument console which can be paired with your smartphone via Vespa's smartphone app called MIA.
Power and performance
The Vespa GTS 300 SuperTech is powered by a 278.3cc liquid-cooled engine which is capable of producing 23.5PS of maximum power and 26Nm of peak torque. The scooter promises a mileage of 29.4kmpl and a top speed of 120kmph.

On the safety front, the Vespa GTS 300 SuperTech comes equipped with 220mm disc brakes on both the wheels along with dual-channel ABS to avoid skidding while braking. The scooter houses a monoshock unit on the front and a dual shock suspension on the rear side to handle the suspension duties.
Finally, what about pricing?
The Vespa GTS 300 SuperTech is priced at 4,80,000 Philippines Peso (approximately Rs. 5.6 lakh) in the Philippines market. Meanwhile, there is no official word about the flagship scooter's India launch as of now.
